Children and age
Privacy contact: contact@brandsap.com
Curivra is a news app for adults aged 18 and over. Before anyone can use it, the app asks them to confirm that they are 18 or older and to accept the Terms of service. Curivra is not designed for or directed to children: it has no games, characters, rewards, chat, public profiles or posts, no ads and no advertising ID, and its content is factual news from U.S. Government agencies.
Google Play age check. On Android, when Curivra is installed from Google Play, the app asks Google Play whether the Google account belongs to an adult, as some U.S. state laws require (for example in Texas). If Google Play reports an age under 18, the app cannot be used with that account; if Play asks for the age to be confirmed, the app points to Google Play. The answer stays on the phone and is used only for this check: we never receive or store an age or age range.
We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. Curivra does not ask for a name, date of birth or location. When the app is first opened it creates a random reader ID to remember the topics chosen.
If you believe someone under 18 is using Curivra, write to contact@brandsap.com, if possible with the Reader ID shown in the app under You → About. When we learn that a reader is under 18, we delete their reader record and all linked data, and delete any sign-in account, without keeping their data. A parent or guardian can also delete the data at once in the app under You → Delete my data. We never enforce our Terms against a minor: blocking and deletion are the only steps we take.
Curivra's Google Play listing declares a target audience of 18 and over only.
