1. How Curivra uses source material
- Curivra publishes short cards that credit and link to their source. Every real-news card is either generated by a fixed template from public U.S. Government data, or written or approved by a Curivra editor from a U.S. Government release, from the agencies listed on our sources page. This material is in the U.S. public domain; material on an agency's site that is not a government work is not used.
- A public feed or web page is never treated as permission. No other outside source can publish until a person has recorded a rights review, and third-party stories and images are blocked.
- Curivra hosts no user-uploaded content. Feedback from readers is private and never published.
2. Reporting a copyright problem
Write to contact@brandsap.com. We have not designated an agent in the U.S. Copyright Office directory; send notices to the address above. Please include:
- your physical or electronic signature, or that of a person authorised to act for the owner;
- the copyrighted work you believe is infringed;
- the Curivra card concerned (its link, or headline and date);
- your name, postal address, telephone number and e-mail address;
- a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent or the law;
- a statement that the information is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorised to act for the owner.
3. What we do
We aim to act within one business day of receiving a complete notice. Your notice is recorded as a complaint with a reference, acknowledged within 24 hours and decided within 15 days at the latest. We can hold or withdraw a card at once (a withdrawn card leaves every feed, its link stops working, and the app deletes copies on readers' phones), remove an image, or suspend a whole source. Every action is logged, and we tell you what we did.
4. If you think a card was removed by mistake
Write to the same address with the card concerned and why you believe it was removed by mistake. We will review it and reply.
5. Repeated problems
A source that is the subject of repeated valid complaints is suspended and is not used again without a new rights review.
6. False notices
Knowingly false notices can create liability under 17 U.S.C. §512(f).
